About the author

He entered literature as a poet with the collection A Report on Human Vulnerability (1999). Trained as a bookseller in Luhačovice, he studied at a grammar school in Prague. He has contributed to eighteen national poetry almanacs — as both editor and author.

He has published twenty-five poetry collections and several books of prose; his photography books capture the landscape of his native Sedlčansko and distant journeys. Most of his books are illustrated by Alena Stiborová. He has been a member of the Czech Writers’ Community since 2002.
